Autism

Have you ever heard of autism? It's a disorder that affects the social and communication parts of the brain. There's a new documentary about two autistic men who learned to communicate for the first time by using a typing device. I "listened" to these two men and the director of the movie at a lecture last week. It was fascinating to hear their stories and to learn how relieved the men are that they can finally communicate. They only started typing in middle age, so until then they could never say what they were thinking. Can you imagine being locked in your own mind like that? Their stories give hope to all the parents of children who have autistic children. Maybe their children will be able to communicate someday, too. If you want to see a trailer for the movie or find out more, you can go to http://www.wretchesandjabberers.org/

  2. Do you mean IQ? Actually, many autistic people are highly intelligent. Some are geniuses.

  3. No, IQ is about mathematical mind and EQ is about social mind. If someone's EQ is low, probably her/his IQ is very high and this is meaning he/she is smart despite of their abilities useless. Normal people like me have good balance Between EQ and IQ so we can control ourselves. Furthermore if somebody has high level of IQ and EQ he/she is really really insane intelligent person like Schizophrenic people. :D they live their own world ( in their mind) they can answer their questions and they don't need other people In my opinion we allow these people have illness as normal humans from outside. *thats all what i know with not sure.... I think there are many kinds of variety about mind ability that we can't realize them. We have just comments about them. Some of these people have a very very beautiful skills that we can't realize. :)))now I don't know what i will say, I'm confused. I have to read something about this subject....i spend many sentences as a unsure person. sorry

  4. What you're saying makes perfect sense. I thought you might have meant "emotional intelligence," but I wasn't sure.
